Surveillance can be tricky in normal conditions but when operating in extreme conditions it's tough, which is why preparation is key for any surveillance operation in extreme conditions.
If you're a private investigator in Alaska for example, you will know what preparations are needed for extremely cold surveillance tasks. And conversely, if you are a Texas private investigator you will know what extreme hot weather checks are needed.
Not preparing for the environment you are about to operate in can reduce your chance of a successful operation.
4 tips for extreme weather surveillance:
- Make sure you have the proper clothing for the environment, which still blends in inconspicuously.
- Ensure you have set up emergency contacts that know where and when you will be operating and conduct check calls / messages to say you're ok.
- Equipment should be extreme weather-proofed and can operate effectively in extreme hot or cold conditions.
- As in any surveillance scenario you should make yourself comfortable, but more so in extreme weather conditions. Furnish yourself with appropriate rations for the conditions.
